What: Skye Canyon is holding a back to school supply drive benefitting local northwest area schools. Donations can be dropped off at either Skye Center or Skye Fitness. As part of the community’s Skye Serves initiative, Skye Canyon is matching donations. School supplies needed for elementary, middle and junior high schools include: backpacks, loose leaf paper, pencils, crayons, washable markers, scissors, erasers, glue sticks, tissue, colored pencils, pocket folders, rulers, three-ring small binders, copy paper, pencil boxes/pouches, colored pencils, pocket calculators, pocket folders, spiral notebooks, composition books and thumb drives. Donors receive a voucher for a Starbucks coffee at Skye Bistro.
Through Skye Serves, Skye Canyon and its residents aim to impact the community by partnering with local charities. Skye Serves initiatives include a donation of 100 bicycles to Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, a charity: water donation on Global Wellness Day, and volunteering and donation to Goodie Two Shoes Foundation. Skye Canyon’s Fit Lives Here events have benefitted Las Vegas Astronomical Society and Outside Las Vegas Foundation.
