Guests can tour the community and have a chance to win $1,000 in the Skye Canyon Trail Map Giveaway
Skye Canyon, a 1,700-acre master planned community in Northwest Las Vegas that is the base camp for the great outdoors, invites the public to celebrate the community’s grand opening and get a first look at its social hub Skye Canyon Park. The event is Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Guests can explore Skye Center and Skye Fitness along with touring homes from Century Communities, Pulte Homes, Inc. and Woodside Homes. Festivities include tethered hot air balloon rides, family-friendly activities, food, entertainment and a Trail Map giveaway that offers a $1,000 cash grand prize and outdoor gear, clothing, gift cards and other prizes.
The centerpiece of Skye Canyon, the 15-acre Skye Canyon Park, features a basketball court, sports field, multiple tot lots, splash and play parks, multi-purpose trails as well as Skye Center and Skye Fitness, which are rustic contemporary buildings reflecting the community’s outdoor lifestyle. Skye Center is an 8,142-square-foot community center that includes a café, an open-air bistro and wine bar as well as interactive home finding tools for prospective homebuyers. Skye Fitness is a 9,663-square-foot facility open to community residents and features impressive open-beam ceilings. It includes a juice bar, yoga room, top-of-the-line fitness equipment, and an outdoor Junior Olympic swimming pool. There will also be an on-site lifestyle director to facilitate fitness activities and outdoor adventures such as hiking, skiing, and camping.
