LAS VEGAS – Skye Canyon, a 1,700-acre master-planned community in Northwest Las Vegas presents Silent Savasana at Skye Canyon Park on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 8 a.m. Renowned yoga teacher Dray Gardner will lead the 75-minute class that is free and open to the public. The event is a part of Skye Canyon’s Fit Lives Here series.

Silent Savasana is open to yogis of all ages and can accommodate 300 people on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s suggested that attendees RSVP on the event’s Facebook page. Yoga mats are not provided; Silent Savasana does supply headsets.

Yogis are encouraged to pack a swimsuit because after class they are invited to mix and mingle with Gardner at Skye Center’s junior Olympic swimming pool. DJ ToneArmz will provide music.
Gardner is the co-founder of Silent Savasana, which blends traditional yoga instruction with music through headphones. Relaxing and upbeat tunes assist participants in creating an environment where they can eliminate outside distractions and create a fun and self-focused state.

“Silent Savasana is a “Work-In,” not a workout,” said Gardner, founder of Silent Savasana. We ask you to bring your smile, yoga mat, positive energy, and your presence,” said Gardner, founder of Silent Savasana.

A former athlete, Gardner discovered yoga in 2006 while recovering from a back injury and through yoga, his pain diminished. Gardner was certified at the Bikram Center in Hawaii 2006 and the Dharma Center in New York in 2011. He has been featured in numerous publications and is one of the most sought-after yoga teachers in the Valley.
